How to give teammates access to an inbox

Overview

Opting to convert a shared inbox into a public inbox grants automatic access to all existing and future teammates, tags, and message templates within that Workspace. Consequently:

The shared inbox becomes visible to all individuals within the same Workspace, and the shared inbox remains inaccessible to users outside of that specific Workspace.

Instructions

For a new Inbox

Step 1

Click the gear icon on the top right of the inbox and into the settings tab.

Step 2

Click on Inboxes on the left menu and Add a team inbox.

Step 3

Fill out the name and description of your inbox, and click Create.

Step 4

Once you reach the Teammate access, you can select the option Which teams have access

and go ahead and click Save the change. However, choosing this setting does not automatically include the new public inbox in your teammates' sidebars. On the subsequent screen, you can individually select the teammates who require the inbox to be added to their sidebars.

Step 5

Configure the channels for your inbox, and create rules for the inbox, if you'd like to connect.

Step 6

In the Settings section, you will customize further items for the inbox; such as adding the inbox to teammates' sidebars, whether to create an analytics report for the inbox, and more.

For existing inboxes
