WooCommerce app integration

What the App Is

WooCommerce is an open-source platform that helps businesses create their own online stores. You can manage your inventory and orders with ease. This creates a powerful and sophisticated shopping experience for you and your customers.

The Simpu integration with WooCommerce lets you manage your customers and their orders. You could do the following:

  1. View your customer’s WooCommerce data (e.g. address and biodata) linked to their email or phone number.
  2. View your customer’s orders on a WooCommerce-powered store.

How it works:

When you click on a message, we pull the information tied to the sender of that message. For example, we pull your customer data from WooCommerce through their email address when you click on the email you received from them.

How to install

To install an app, please, do the following:

Step 1

Sign in to Simpu.



Step 2

At the top left corner, click on the settings icon.


Step 3

 A page with a left sidebar opens up.


Step 4

On the left sidebar, click on Integrations.


Step 5

On the Integrations page, click on the WooCommerce app.

  • WooCommerce could be found in the all apps section or installed Apps sections (if you have previously installed it). You could also search for it.

  • Once WooCommerce is clicked on, a new page opens up containing a blue ‘Install now’ button. Click on the “Install now” button.



  • A modal pops open containing fields; Name and Account Name.

  • The Name field indicates the name given to that particular installation of the WooCommerce app (Simpu allows for multiple installations of the same app).

  • For the Account Name field, the value entered should be picked from your WooCommerce account’s URL domain.

  • A WooCommerce account domain is in the form of account-name.com. The text in the ‘account-name’ area of the domain is what Simpu requires for this field.

  • After filling in these values, click on the connect button at the bottom right of the modal.


Step 6

You would then be directed to WooCommerce’s authentication page to sign in with WooCommerce.


Step 7

After signing in with WooCommerce, you would be redirected back to Simpu, where you would see the installed app.


How to use WooCommerce App

You could view, manage or update your customers’ information with our WooCommerce app.

To View Customer Information

Step 1

Go to Inbox. This could be done by clicking on the Inbox icon on the top left bar.

Step 2

Click on any Inbox message.

Step 3

At the extreme right, a sidebar (consisting of various installed app icons) is shown.


Step 4

Click on the WooCommerce icon.

Step 5

If the customer that sent the message does not exist on WooCommerce, you would see the following message: ‘Oops! no customer data’.


Step 6

If the customer exists on WooCommerce, the customer's information would be shown in a section to the left (just beside the sidebar).

The order information can be expanded to see the details about the orders.
