With Simpu's powerful automation features, you can ensure that your contacts receive special greetings on their special day. Let's get started!

Before we can set up automation for sending birthday messages, we need to have a list. In Simpu, navigate to Data and add a new list. Select CSV or Excel if you will be importing data from your computer's drive or select "Start from scratch" to begin afresh. If you are starting from scratch, give the list a descriptive name, such as "Birthday Contacts," and include all the relevant information about your contacts, including their names, birth dates, and contact details.

Make sure that the property type for the column(s) with the date row has its property type set as Date and not Text. Also, ensure that the column(s) with emails and phone numbers are set as Emails and Phone, respectively.

To automate the process of sending birthday messages, we will use Simpu's Automation feature. In the Automation section, click on "Automate messages for your list" to begin.

The trigger determines when the automation will be initiated. In this case, we want the automation to run on the contact's birthday. Choose the appropriate trigger option, such as "At a scheduled time" and configure it to match the contact's birthdate field. The interval should be set to Daily.

Conditions for running automation in Simpu are like friendly rules that determine when a certain action should happen automatically. They help you customize and control your automation, ensuring they only kick in when specific criteria are met. By setting up these conditions, you can make your automation more personalized and tailored to your needs. It's like having a helpful assistant that knows exactly when to take action based on the rules you've set.

Click on "Add a condition". For example, the conditions that will fit the sending out Personalised Birthday use case will be;

The action specifies what should happen when the trigger condition is met. In our case, we want to send a personalized birthday message to the contact. Select the "Send Email" or "Send SMS" action, depending on your preferred communication method. You can also use Simpu's AI feature to generate suitable message content.

Note- If you have multiple email columns ensure you select your desired column.

To make the birthday message more meaningful, personalize it with the contact's name. In the message body, use Simpu's dynamic tags or variables to insert the contact's name. This ensures that each contact receives a unique and personalized message.

Once you are satisfied with the setup, activate the automation to start sending birthday messages to your contacts. Simpu will automatically trigger the process on each contact's birthday and send out personalized messages based on your configured action.

After activating the automation, regularly monitor its performance and check for any issues or improvements. Simpu provides analytics and reporting tools to help you assess the effectiveness of your birthday message automation. Use this data to make adjustments and enhancements to provide an even better experience for your contacts.
