Magento Integration

Magento Integration

What the App Is

Magento is an open-source platform that helps businesses create their own online stores. You can manage your inventory and orders with ease. This creates a powerful and sophisticated shopping experience for you and your customers.

The Simpu integration with Magento lets you manage your customers and their orders. You could do the following:

  1. View your customer’s Magento (e.g. address and biodata) data linked to their email or phone number.
  2. View your customer’s orders on a Magento-powered store.

How it works:

When you click on a message, we pull the information tied to the sender of that message. For example, we pull your customer data from Magento through their email address (or phone number) when you click on the email you received from them.

How to install

To install the Magento app, please, do the following:

Step 1

Sign in to Simpu.

Step 2

At the top left corner, click on the settings icon.

Step 3

A page with a left sidebar opens up.

Step 4

On the left sidebar, click on Integrations.

Step 5

On the Integrations page, click on the Magento app.

  • Magento could be found in the all apps section or installed apps sections (if you have previously installed it). You could also search for it.

  • Once Magento is clicked on, a new page opens up containing a blue ‘Install now’ button. Click on the “Install now” button.

  • A modal pops open containing fields; Name, Account Name, Username and Password.

  • The Name field indicates the name given to that particular installation of the Magento app (Simpu allows for multiple installations of the same app).

  • For the Account Name field, the value entered should be picked from your Magento account’s URL domain (e.g simpu-magento-store.com)

  • Username and Password are that of your store’s admin account with API access.

  • After filling in these values, click on the connect button at the bottom right of the modal.

Step 6

If successful, you would see the installed app listed under Magento connections.
