Simpu’s Instagram channel lets you connect your Instagram Business Account to receive and send direct messages from Simpu.
Below are the steps to follow:
Go to Instagram
Click the three lines in the top right corner of your Instagram account.
Select Settings and privacy
Messages and story replies
Message controls
Under connected tools; toggle on allow access to messages
Step 1
Click on the plus icon on the top left corner of Simpu inbox and into the organization or personal settings tab, depending on which space you are working with. Select an existing inbox to which you want to add the channel.
Step 2
Click on Add a Team inbox, give your Inbox a name, then put a description if you want(optional). From the Channels menu, choose Instagram, and then click the blue Connect button.
Step 3
A window should open, prompting you to sign in with a Facebook Business account. Make sure you log in with your Facebook credentials here (not Instagram).
Step 4
You should see a page that asks which Instagram Business Accounts you want to connect to Front. Select one of these accounts — you can connect other accounts in a separate channel by repeating these steps afterward.
Step 5
Next, you should see a page asking which Page to connect. Again, select only one Page. The next step will ask you to approve permissions that Simpu will require to connect to your account.
Step 6
After successfully authorizing with Facebook, you’ll be redirected to a final page to select the Page to connect to Simpu. Simply click on the page and then click Submit.
Step 7
Then channel will be successfully connected.
The channel does not support the following:
Facebook quick replies (although Simpu’s message templates can be used instead)
Sharing of other Instagram posts via DM that are not Story Mentions or Story Replies.
