How to assign a conversation

How to assign a conversation

Overview

Assigning conversations is crucial for establishing clear ownership and preventing any messages from being overlooked or neglected.

Generally, you would assign a conversation to the team member responsible for handling the specific inquiry. By assigning all conversations, you can guarantee that every message receives a response. It's important to note that a conversation can only be assigned to one user at a time, ensuring accountability and avoiding duplication of effort.

Manually assign conversation

To manually assign a conversation to a teammate, navigate to the conversation toolbar and click on the "Assign" option. Select the desired teammate to whom you wish to assign the conversation from the dropdown menu. The most recently used assignees will be conveniently displayed at the top of the dropdown list, making selecting the appropriate teammate for the assignment easier.

Once a conversation is assigned, it appears in the assignee's Assigned inbox section.
