Creating a Sender ID/Sender Profile on Simpu for SMS

Sender ID, also known as a sender profile, is the name that will appear when you send SMS campaigns through Simpu. It helps recipients recognize who the message is from and builds brand trust. Here's how to create one:

1. Access your Simpu account and navigate to Settings:

  • Log in to your Simpu account.
  • Click on your profile picture/Initials in the top right corner.
  • Click on Organisation Settings

2. Set up your Sender profile:

  • Click on " Sending profiles" in the left-hand menu.
  • Click on the "Add SMS sender profile" button.

3. Enter your desired Sender ID:

  • A text box will appear. Type in the name you want to be displayed when sending SMS messages.
  • Remember, Sender IDs are alphanumeric and can have a maximum of 11 characters.
  • Important: Simpu may not approve certain Sender IDs, especially those containing sensitive information like financial terms or phone numbers. Choose a relevant and brand-specific name.

4. Save your Sender profile:

  • Click on the "Save sender profile" button.

5. (Optional) Make your profile default:

  • You can create multiple Sender profiles for different campaigns.
  • To make a particular profile your default, click on the drop-down menu next to the profile name and select "Make default."
